TECH SUPPORT - STOP SENDING ME MONEY

I barely know how to blog, and i know nothing of how to update a website, the last time i updated my website, i think people
were scared their computers we're all gonna reset, so I apologize for that, but nothing on my "STORE" section has been for sale in years, so please stop blindly sending money to my paypal, unless your just being nice, and you want to take care of me and watch me enjoy my life.
a week or so ago we released our newest print "Falling for Grace" giclee on arches paper image size 20"x20" paper 24"x24" signed & numbered 1-250,new print for sale, too many people clicked on all at once so the shopping cart ,crashed, so we re-directed people over to paypal, and this didn't happen the other times, but they said it was"suspicious" the activity that was going down so we got shut down on technical foul's, anyways the point is, the print is not sold out, the shit was just janky for a sec, everything is back up and should be running smoothly, DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY OR E-MAIL REQUESTS FOR PRINTS TO ME, i can't help you there, there's a few left , so if you didn't know, now you know, if you want a print here you go.

life isn't all bad when technology goes bad, sometimes happy accidents and datamoshing goes right, like this

CONVERSE OUTTAKES

chuck taylors are the worst shoes for real sports, but just short of being barefoot, they're the best shoes for drummers, because it's like wearing heavy socks, great for pairadiddles with your foot. i just finished shooting an AD for converse, and part of the deal was a lifetime supply of chuck taylor's(i'm still wearing the same pair from high school, so a lifetime supply for me would be 3 pairs) but they sent over a crate of black chuck lowtop's in 10's and we had a real fun day shooting the shit. here's some outtakes from that day, plus some flicks of my work place.

look for the print ad campaign in juxtapoz magazine in the near future. by the way the new issue of juxtapoz with living legend, doze green on the cover is out now, doze is interveiwed by one of my favorite artists dave ellis, two real artists pushing the boundaries, doing it right, and doing it for all the right reasons, Doze brings it all back , the fucker has somethng to say and is one of the best interveiws i read in a long time.

FACEBOOK X CHOE on 60 MINUTES

my buddy mark was on 60 minutes last week , and as he walks through the facebook office with Lesley Stahl , you can see all the shit i painted for them pop up here and there, people love to hate on mark and the facebook , but i know the guy , he's actually trying to make the world a better place, the guy isn't even 25 and he turned down a billion fucking dollars, because he believes in what he's doing ,how many of you could do that?

DAVID CHOE X ACEYALONE

i just got this video in the mail, it must've been from at least 2 years ago, anyways it was a real fun night, nothing was planned and i got to jam with aceyalone, mablib and peanut butter wolf all night.

TROUBLED TEENAGE GIRLS ---CHOE X JUNO

I guess when Hollywood needs to decorate the rooms of troubled teenage girls, they come to me, the last time Hollywood came calling , it was for leelee sobieski’s room in the movie the glass house , which was released the day before or after September 11th and was in theatres for 2 days I think, the movie sucked anyways, so I was asked again last year, to do some art for JUNO
, a movie with jennifer garner (not a selling point for me), directed by ivan reitman's son, jason reitman (i though he's gonna have to suck because his dad is a genius,) and ellen page?(were did i hear that name before?)the last time i saw her, she was playing a jewish mutant, phasing super heroine,Kitty Pryde in X-MEN 3 , getting called a BITCH by cain marko aka The Juggernaut aka stepbrother, and childhood bully of X-Men founder Charles Xavier. I like Kitty pryde, So i sent some art over hoping at least the movie will be so bad it's good like the movie HACKERs... turns out the movie is fucking awesome , jason does a great job, you never heard dialouge between teens this good since, dawsons' creek writer/creator Kevin Williamson pre/coming out of the closet.

Ellen Page does a great job as JUNO, but i'm still more interested in a fake not real person, Kitty Pryde,, here's some facts about her:Kitty Pryde is mentioned in the Weezer song "In the Garage".
Shadowcat is also mentioned in the song "Missing Link" by Dinosaur Jr and Del tha Funkee Homosapien from the soundtrack for the movie Judgment Night.
In Spike Lee's film 25th Hour, Edward Norton's character expresses his desire to avoid prison by stating he wishes he was "that girl from X-Men... the one who can walk through walls."
Kitty Pryde is mentioned in the ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead song, "An Ounce Of Prevention".
Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon has acknowledged that Kitty Pryde was an inspiration for Buffy Summers.
In Genesis, the first episode of the TV series Heroes, the character of Hiro Nakamura specifically mentions Kitty Pryde traveling through time. However, he erroneously cites the issue number as X-Men #143 whereas the actual time traveling storyline takes place in X-Men #141-142. He is later corrected on this by a fellow Hero, Charlie Andrews, who has the power of eidetic memory.

-since i'm talking about movies KING OF KONG was the best movie from last year, the human emotion was intense and you couldn't have scripted a better movie. and this year it's THERE WILL BE BLOOD , there's a scene when DDL is explaining to his brother how he hates everyone,,, that pretty much sums it up for me.

KOREANS GONE BAD--REUNITED?

THE WORST BAND YOU NEVER HEARD OF.. KGB!!!!!

after playing music in punk bands, marching bands, pick up trucks etc. for over 15 years
..umm how should i say this , what sounds better
"i'm getting the band back together!" or " i want to just focus on the music this year."
one sounds gay and the other sounds gayer to gayest. either way it's what i plan on doing.

my brother paul ,(by far the most talented one in the whole group )made the song for this romp in an hour.

SOMETHING'S FISHY

it's gay when a comedian has kid's and starts doing jokes about babies, and when everyone wants to talk and show pictures ,of their ugly kids and retarded pets.... i guess i'm part of that club now

the soundtrack on this is mammal's "replusion" off lonesome drifter, this is the music that goes on in my head all day, materialized. i burned a cd right now for my car, it's this song 13 times in a row and then i ended it with the instrumental for DMX's party up in here just to spice it up.

GOOD INFLUENCE

the kid's fucking love me! her version is much better , she did it in record time, and her line quality is far superior.look at the juicy red nipple she did!
i'm hiring her as my new apprentice

SHOW'S OVER

the GIANT ROBOT 50TH biennale at the japanese american museum in downtown L.A. ended last week, the mural i did there is probably buffed over by now, here's a final peek.

-I can't see anything good about this guy and certainly can't see a reason why his shit should sell for so much money. Flash in the pan this guy. Mark my words. Strictly speaking he of course has the ability to draw and render. But what he does with that ability is gawdy, lame, childish, and corny. And from what I pick up from what I read about him. So is he. next. --

-Is it me or did David get fat?--

-sound eyes is a money making pile of over hyped american shite. Or as us Brits like to call it poo-poo. Mr Choe you are losing fans......fast!!!--

-You really fucked over your fans and buyers on this release. You're not that great and yet you're putting out more stuff than Takahashi Murakami or Banksy. You really should have stuck to the 76 edition size instead of screwing over your fans and making money. __Prices on ebay are plummeting for your work. __You hear that Mr. Choe? That's the sound of inevitability. You've jumped the shark man.--

-All I see is an extravagant mess and immature subject mature -no surprise coming from an immature person. Banksy. Says so much more by saying so much less.--

SILAS FINCH

While SABER,RETNA and I were out on tour , we rolled through the quiet town of new haven, connecticut, after SABER got us kicked out the YALE museum of art, we went to our painting event, where i met a talented young fellow named SILAS FINCH, he lives in this town and make's shit with his hands using, scraps, bits and pieces , we went to his studio, which looked like one of the murder scenes from the movie 7, i really wanted to buy one of his pieces, but the stuff in this particular show was all on skateboards, and i don't care too much for that. but i didn't want to be a dick and tell the man how to do his job, but i did anyways and asked him if he'd be down to do a comission, i looked at the strongest elements of what he did , and drew this really shitty sketch....
and this is what the man came up with! it has a helmet that comes off, it moves, nothing is nailed or welded, it's like a giant puzzle that fits together.

he's pretty amzing, to see more of his art go

BLAST BEATS and GRAVITY BLASTS

it's sort of like hyper masterbation, but if you're a drummer you have to learn how to do it.
Gravity roll
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Gravity blast)
In drumming, a gravity roll is performed by resting the shaft of the drumstick on the rim of the snare drum, while holding the butt. The hand is moved up and down, causing the head of the stick to strike the drum's head once per stroke and the shaft of the drumstick will strike the rim of the drum on the way down (similar to a seesaw).
The gravity roll can also be extended into a gravity blast, where bass drum and cymbals are added to make a blast beat. Some drummers think that the gravity blast is a very advanced technique, but it is actually quite simple to learn. Once the basic technique is mastered, speed can gradually be developed until it sounds like a full speed blast beat. Currently there are at least three instructional videos on the market that cover the unique method. They are "The One Handed Drum Roll Training Pack" by Jared Falk and "Extreme Metal Drumming 101" by Flo Mounier, and a various drum techniques video by Johhny Rabb.
When implemented in death metal the gravity roll is applied as 16th notes to the snare - typically with the right hand - and the left hand plays 8th notes on the hi-hat. The feet usually divide the beat as 16th notes, essentially matching the strokes of the right hand. In other words, the right hand is playing the same speed as the feet with the left hand keeping time with 8th notes on the hi-hats.
Although its origin is unknown, this technique is believed to have been used by jazz drummers such as Buddy Rich in the past. Today, this technique is often found in heavy metal music and some forms of punk rock. Some bands that use this technique include Kataklysm, Despised Icon, Origin, Internal Suffering, Beneath the Massacre, Psycroptic, All Shall Perish, Cryptopsy, and Brodequin.
