Gustavo and octavio aka as the Brazilian twins or OS GEMEOS, first introduced me to one of the best artists in the world Herbert baglione,, if you’ve ever seen them in a group show they are always the stand out best and if you ever see any of their solo shows in galleries or museums, it’s always the best show you’ve ever been to, they’ve made sao Paulo the graffiti capitol of the world, artists like barry mcgee , Loomit, SAN, etc. take graffiti pilgrimages out to their hometown every year to learn about their culture and expand their own skills and styles to next level shit
As far as raising graffiti to an art form , they are the unparalleled best world champs, no one even cums close, it was nice to find out that they are just two big lovable perverts, I love that underneath all the talent ,inspiration, genius and creativity that they are basically just two perverts. Turns out the twins are both huge Sasha grey fans, and huge james jean fans, so I had them over the studio the other day, and because of where theyre from,they are are the MacGyver’s of the graf world, these fuckers turned all my clogged caps into fat caps with a dull razorblade, they turned all my fat caps into basketball sized fat caps, I had only three cans left of a discontinued paint can, that I do 70% of all my paintings with, they fixed all my graffiti problems and needs in 10 minutes! wtf ! thanks for saving me a trip to brazil!!! Actually I need to go anyways , they wont let Herbert back into the u.s. and I want to take the pilgrimage down south also! i first met these dudes almost 10 years ago when they first came to san Francisco , and interviewed them for giant robot magazine, where I asked them why they only paint dudes, and why so many graf artists paint only sad old dudes, turns out they are painting chicks now, and I love painting chicks! So look out for a perved out sex, art,photo graf book in the future!
