LOWER EASTSIDE
For the first time, I‘ll be having solo exhibitions in china and korea, later this year and next year(PYO gallery,Beijing Nov 15-Dec 18, 2008), so I’ll leave the US for awhile with a final groupie group grouper (I hate group shows, but I’m with good company on this one, trust me) in my new town ,New york City, I been working on a large body of work focusing on the city of Catchfools , and the land of play, I’m taking out a few of my best pieces to showcase in this east coast fuckfest.
The flier says private view so I don’t know how I’m gonna get in, if I see you there , we’ll try and sneak in together.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL!!!
I can’t believe the maniacs I get to work with these days, I just got the prototype for my wood toy,CHOEGAL, that comes out before Xmas, from doublepunch and upperplayground, I thought they were sending me back my original, but this is what they are all gonna look like! a thousand of these fuckers, being hand painted right now! No two the same!, I gave detailed instructions to the factory on how to replicate my multi layered style, and looking at this toy, I can’t even tell the difference from the original, I should just get these fuckers to do all my paintings for me too! Anyways the whole toy is made out of wood, it has a lot of moving parts, and the head spins around to reveal three different faces and emotions, i been staring at this thing for over an hour I can’t get over it, I been fucking cloned!!
And then to take it even more over the top, I find out from upperplayground that my obama print is gonna be screenprinted?! I sent them a really layered mixed media painting, I’m not sure you guys know what your talking about, that’s impossible, no it’s gonna be a fucking screenprint, and then I find out they’re gonna be printed by ben lafond at burlesque, who maybe the best screen printers in the buisness, making prints with my favorite artists like Aaron Horkey and EWOK, who both have insanely detailed work, I still cant figure out or understand how they are gonna turn a painting into a screenprint, well somehow they figured it out and have it separated into a massive 8 color screenprint, I'm sorry the print is already sold out , but here’s some pictures showing the process,

Robert Young is the first guy that ever interviewed me,almost a decade ago, for his magazine the Comics Interpreter, i don't even know where you'd find a copy today, maybe the best interview I’ve ever done, here's some funny stuff i forgot about on his blog SLOWJAMS my first book,came out in 1999 , I got threatened with two lawsuits, and one threat for bodily harm and one threat for death. For BRUISED FRUIT my second book, I only got threatened for 1 lawsuit and only one threat for bodily harm,
anyways whats funny to me, is the part where slowjams is basically a a cheap black and white comic, that I originally printed 5000 copies and sold for 4 bucks or just gave away for free, 5 years ago I realized I didn’t even own a copy , so I got one off ebay for 100 dollars, the seller was like dude why are you buying your own book? i felt stupid and told him i didn't own a copy, so he just gave it back to me for free, and i sent him a drawing.
Today I’ve seen it on ebay go for 300 to 500, the only place i can even find it is on amazon, I remember what a bitch it was to distribute all those books by mail order, and taking boxes to different shops, not to mention how much turmoil, the subject matter of that book, brought to my personal life ... so I never reprinted it, and beside's giant robot, in almost a decade I’ve never got any offers to reprint it, so I might have to do it myself again , people ask me often how i got to be so succesful, and the truth is, stupidity and refusal to give up, the amount of rejection , the amount of closed doors, closed legs, no one willing to take a chance, i ended up doing everything myself, selling my own paintings, booking my own shows, going out and hunting down my own illustration jobs, printing and distributing all my books, in the end there's no one to split the check up with, so i made all the fucking money... go watch the 90's film, GATTACA, ethan hawke, will break it all down for you, towards the end of the movie,,, and in a completely unrelated subject watch this guy break down rob liefeld

after we were deflating the balloon's ,i stuck half my body in the helium hole and lived inside it for a minute, and then almost drowned in the ocean
when this guy first told me, he gave up being a doctor to be an artist, i thought he was a fucking idiot, i just checked out his art, and it's not bad, petros
The DNC finished up, here's maybe the worst inteview i've ever done
i went to sundance film festival for the first time 2 years ago for WE ARE THE STRANGE, i did one of the characters voices and some art for the film, it had the "BLAIR WITCH" prime time slot, and sold out all 3 nights, it was also the most walked out film at sundance, polarizing the audience to haters, and hardcore fans, it's not for everyone. It seemed like audience goer's either ran out of the theater wanting to puke, or you were converted into absolute fanatics, love it or hate it. i might go again in 2009 for Dirty Hands or this movie called BLACK DYNAMITE , but who knows..

i can't believe it's almost been a year since the end of filming THUMBS UP season 2 with harry, I get email almost daily, when the next adventure will begin, and how alot of people were dissapointed in season 2, compared to season 1, I dont edit the shows, and the shit that got edited out , that you will never see, ,,,fuuuuuuuuuuck, anyways here's a good montage recap episode for you , enjoy!
while hitchiking on that trip, we ran into this guy in FRESNO, he's a dentist but makes all his own music and raps over his beats, he raps to his patients while they're on novacaine.
